4-Day Self-Paced Blackboard Course (Online)

About

Blackboard Faculty Foundations is a self-paced Blackboard online course offered twice a month through the Center for Innovation in Learning (CIL). Faculty members complete the course at their own pace within a four-day time frame and feedback is provided by CIL facilitators. There are no required meetings or any other synchronous component for this course. The average completion time is eight hours.

The course provides a thorough overview of the tools and skills you will use as you teach your courses here at National University within the Blackboard LMS. Faculty members complete activities in their own personal online Learning Lab course where they get practical experience using tools and applying best practices in the courses they will teach. Participants will explore topics such as: personalizing your course syllabus, effective teaching presence in the online classroom, assessment and evaluation, managing special circumstances, and more.
