Online Learning and Instructional Support
The Online Learning and Instructional Support (OLIS) team are dedicated to providing faculty with comprehensive support and guidance regarding their online courses. With technical expertise and a solutions-based approach, our OLIS advisors empower faculty to build and maintain an exceptional online learning experience. The OLIS department also supports requests from processing faculty desk copies and embedding e-books into online courses, to textbook management within SOAR and assisting with third-party integrations.

*Please note: Online Learning and Instructional Support is open only on the weekend prior to the first day of class to actively prepare for the upcoming term. Brightspace 24/7 Support provides after-hours and weekend coverage when we are closed.
Brightspace Q&A Drop-In Sessions
OLIS offers 10-minute faculty Drop-In sessions to assist with quick fixes, such as: updating due dates, linking the gradebook, adjusting special access, etc. These sessions are offered twice daily and do not require registration.
Please note that when joining, you’ll be brought to a waiting room and will be placed into a host breakout room upon availability. Wait time could be up to 10 minutes.

20 Minute 1:1 Consultations:
OLIS offers 20-minute 1:1 Consultations with an Advisor to assist with more complex challenges such as: troubleshooting Kaltura or Zoom, setting up groups, etc. These sessions are offered by appointment only, click on the link to request a consultation.
Please note, to avoid delays in confirming your appointment, please be sure to include as much detail as possible when making your request. An OLIS Advisor will provide a confirmation email and Zoom link upon confirmation.
National University IT Helpdesk
The Information Technology (IT) Helpdesk provides technical support for inquiries regarding, Single Sign-on (SSO), login ID and password reset, SOAR, Email, Zoom, and other (non-LMS) NUS integrations.

24/7 Brightspace Support
The Brightspace Support helpdesk provides on-demand technical support and training for faculty and students on the Brightspace learning management system (LMS). Support is available via phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or click on the link to submit a request form.
